Obituary

Worcester- Bertha B. (Banc) Gagner, 85, of 11 Marble Street, formerly of 14 Ada Street, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, after an illness.

Her husband, Alfred J. Gagner, died in 1979. She leaves a son, Alfred J. Gagner Jr. of Manchaug; a daughter, Dorothy A. Briand of Worcester; a sister, Anna D'Ambrosia of Worcester; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Ignatius and Bertha (Bronetska) Banc, and lived here all her life.

Mrs. Gagner was an assembler at David Clark Co. and later at Chess King, before retiring.

She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish.

The funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 13, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, (www.worcesterfuneral.com), 33 Ward Street, with a mass at 10 a.m. St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, in the funeral home.
