Obituary

Herbert Slotnick, a resident of Revere for 25 years, and formerly of Everett died on Sept 29, 2006 at the Jewish Rehabilitation Center in Swampscott. He was 88 years old.

Born in Everett, the loving son of the late Harry & Frances Slotnick, He was raised in Everett and educated in the Everett Public Schools, graduating from Everett High School. Mr. Slotnick was the former owner of the Slotnick Variety Store on Malden St. in Everett and he was also a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His memberships included the Grocery Association and Congregation Tifereth Israel of Everett.

Mr. Slotnick was the dear brother of Esther & Harvey Baizen of Marblehead, Selma & Malcolm Indeck of Wakefield, and the late Sidney Slotnick. Dear brother in law of Frances Slotnick of Chestnut Hill. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral service in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave, Cary Sq, CHELSEA on Sunday, Oct 1 at 11:30 AM. Interment in the Linas Hatzedeck Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Selma & Malcolm Indeck, Wakefield Sunday only until 5 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Jewish Rehabilitation Center, 330 Paradise Rd, Swampscott 01907.
