WORCESTER____Christine W. (Sierak) Bauer, 78, of Worcester, died Thursday September 28 in her home. Her husband, Roman Bauer died in 1989.
She leaves two sons, Thaddeus “Ted” Bauer and his wife JoAnn of Leicester; Edward J. Bauer and his wife Nancy of Leicester; a daughter, Elizabeth B. Colorio of Malden; six grandchildren, Andrew Bauer, Cristina Bauer, Melissa Bauer, Russell Bauer, Michael Colorio and Christopher Colorio and two nieces. She was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, the daughter of Jozef and Kazimiera (Paszkiewicz) Sierak and has lived here since 1949.
Mrs. Bauer was a stitcher for many years and worked for Hawthorne Sportswear Co., and before that Jackson Sportswear Co., and David Clark Co. While at David Clark Co. she worked on the NASA prototype spacesuits for the astronauts. She retired several years ago.
She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Christine was a concentration camp survivor.
The funeral will be held on Monday October 2 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
