Genevieve Frongillo, a longtime resident of Wilmington passed away peacefully Thursday, November 5th, at her home surrounded by those she loved. She was 97. Genevieve was the beloved wife of the late Robert S. Frongillo, Sr. Born in Medford, she was one of four daughters of the late Joseph and Mary (Jeselonis) Mikols.
Genevieve was raised and educated in Medford. She has been a Wilmington resident for nearly sixty years. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Genevieve took great pride in caring for her family and always making sure her home was a warm and welcoming place for her family to be together. She was fiercely independent and extremely proud of her Polish heritage. She also found great comfort in her strong Catholic faith throughout her life.
For many years Genevieve was an avid bowler, she enjoyed playing bingo at the Wilmington Senior Center, and always looked forward to the occasional trip to the casino to try her luck. She will be greatly missed.
Genevieve is survived by her children; Robert S. Frongillo, Jr. and his wife Susan of Wilmington, David J. Frongillo of Wilmington, and Elaine Morris and her husband Joseph of Billerica. She was the loving grandmother of Jason, Keith, and Brian Frongillo, Steven, Nicholas, and Alex Buchanan. Loving great grandmother of Dominic and Bentley, Jake and Evan. Sister of the late Barbara Mehos, Elizabeth Doucette, and Mary Mikols.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Tuesday, November 10th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Dorothy Church, Main St., Wilmington, at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with interment at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
