SPRINGFIELD – John Harold Hull, 78, of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, November 1, 2026. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on February 4, 1948, a beloved son of the late Harold F. and Julia A. (Murphy) Hull. He was raised in Springfield where he graduated from Cathedral High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Western New England College, both in Springfield. He moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL, and lived between Fort Lauderdale and Bryson City, NC before returning to Springfield in 2021 where he lived the remainder of his life. He was employed as an accountant and owned and operated John H. Hull Accounting in Fort Lauderdale, FL. John was an accomplished musician, playing both piano and trumpet, and enjoyed listening to jazz music. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and many friends. He leaves his former wife, Lise Marie (Aube) Gohrend of Deerfield Beach, FL; his two loving and devoted children, John H. Hull, Jr. and his wife, Chyna, of Pembroke Pines, FL and Julie Ann Scheer and her husband, Scott, of Port St. Lucie, FL; his cherished granddaughter, Melanie Ann Scheer of Port St. Lucie, FL; his two dear brothers, Robert J. Hull of Springfield and Philip E. Hull of Deerfield Beach, FL; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two dear sisters, Sharon M. Hull and Frances A. Hanson and her husband, Robert. His funeral and burial will be private.
