Rachel Futch Grice, 87, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, November 2, 2026, at her residence.
The family will receive friends from, 6-8 PM, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at The Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald. No formal services will be held at this time.
Ms. Grice was born May 16, 1939, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Jack Walter & Roxie Stapleton Futch. She was a 1957 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and retired from Ben Hill County Elementary School as a lunchroom worker. She also worked for the Jessamine Place as a sitter. She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and yard sales. Ms. Grice was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Tanner & Jeffery; a grandson, Blake Tanner & Daisy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Grace Grice and sisters: Ava Nell Smith and Ruby Spinks.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
