Obituary

Roger L. Boucher, 63, of 59 Wanda Ave., Woonsocket, died Wednesday at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of 40 years of Murielle (Trudeau) Boucher.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Alcide and Aurore (Bergeron) Boucher. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Boucher was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Roger worked in shipping and receiving for The Boston Group for many years.
He was a Eucharistic minister at Precious Blood Church. He enjoyed cooking and home repair projects. Roger was a devoted husband and father, and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lise Walsh, of Warwick, Louise Masse, of Woonsocket, and Laurie Strojny, of Woonsocket, five grandchildren, Brittany, Lauren, and Evan Masse, and Emma and Nicholas Strojny. He was the brother of Victor Boucher, of Woonsocket, Alcide Boucher, Jr., of Florida, Gerald Boucher, of Norfolk, MA., Jeannette Boucher, of Florida, and Aline Pesce, of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Monday at 10:30 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5-8 pm. Visit www.fournierandfournier.com for guestbook and directions.
