Robert J. Regan, a longtime resident of Woburn with deep ties to Medford, Massachusetts, passed away on October 14, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Hildegarde M. (McKenna) Regan. A retired Boston police officer, Robert held close the family, friendships, and memories that connected him to Medford and Woburn.
Robert was the devoted father of Robert Regan and his wife, Tamar; Paul Regan and his wife, Donna; Hildegarde Regan; and Beverly Regan. He was the cherished grandfather of Chase, Nicole, Justin, Garrett, Owen, and Regan. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Regan, and his wife, Carol, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings James Dwyer, Ralph Regan, Walter Regan, John Regan, Marjorie Sampson, and Pauline Horblit.
Robert will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, with a graveside service for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a veterans’ organization of your choosing.
