It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of a truly unforgettable woman. Linda Mae Hawkins, 83, of Derry, NH, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026. She was born on May 1, 1943, in Essex, MD, a daughter of the late Maron and Gladys (Reed) Axon.
Linda dedicated her professional heart to her community, serving as a passionate Special Education assistant with the Derry School District. Her patience and strength helped guide countless children over her career.
If you needed to make something festive, Linda was your go-to. She had a love of crafts and decorating for any holiday, making them all special and memorable occasions through her handmade pieces. She was a decorator and made the house or anywhere festive not necessarily through crafting.
Linda was known for her tenacious, fiercely independent, and wonderfully “cool” spirit. She left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Her vibrant spirit, strength, and love live on through her family.
Linda’s laughter, unique personality, and the impact she made on our lives will never be forgotten. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Rest in peace.
She is survived by her three children, Cheryl (Judge) Morin and her husband Jeffery of Manchester, NH, Sean Judge of McKinney, TX, and Kelly Judge of Derry, NH. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John “Jack” R. Hawkins, in 2002.
A private graveside service will be held at Bunker Hill Cemetery, Saxton, PA. The Peabody Funeral Homes of Derry & Londonderry, NH and Akers Funeral Home of Saxton are assisting the family with arrangements.
