Thomas E. Carney, 62, of Deerfield, NH died Wednesday October 14, 2026 at Mass General Hospital, Boston, MA. Thomas was born in Stoneham, MA on August 30, 1964, a son of the late Thomas J. and Lorraine (Cobb) Carney.
Tom was the kind of guy who enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hanging around a fire. He was the guy you could call anytime you needed a helping hand. He had a contagious laugh that filled a room. He enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle, and trips around New England.
He is survived by his son, Shea Carney and his wife Susanne of Manchester, NH, his longtime partner of 12 years, Patty Kanach of Deerfield, his brother, Daniel Carney and his wife Roxanne of Omaha, NE, as well as several nieces and nephews, and his step-brother, Guy Costanza.
Following cremation, the family may hold a celebration of life at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
