Worcester – Doreen T. (Gauvin) Gallant, 86, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in CareOne at Millbury on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
Doreen was married for 56 years to the late Norman J. Gallant who died in 2014. She is survived by her three daughters, Patty MacAlister (Craig) of Glenburn, ME, Darlene Lopriore (Steve) of Oxford MA. and Deborah Campbell of Millbury MA; 7 grandchildren, Elissa, Stephanie, Sarah, Gregory, Eric, Kayli and Meaghan; four great grandchildren, Arianna, Liliana, Amelia and Andrew, and many nieces and nephews. Two special friends Pat Roy, and Linda Leonard.
Doreen was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada daughter of the late Aime and Bella (Gaudet) Gauvin and is also predeceased by two brothers, Emery Gauvin, Norman Gauvin. two sisters, Florence Arsenault, Bernice Rawlston, also a grandson, Eric Lopriore.
Mrs. Gallant worked as a stitcher at the former H.H. Brown Shoe Company in Worcester and then worked as a shipper and receiver for Heinrich Ceramic Detail Inc.
Doreen was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Church and often attended activities at the Leicester Senior Center.
The funeral for Doreen will be held from the Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. Worcester, MA on Monday, October 19th, 2026, with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Worcester at 10 AM. Burial will follow, alongside her husband in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 18th from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
