Doreen (Pearl) Sullivan
May 3, 1964 – October 4, 2026
Doreen (Pearl) Sullivan of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 4, 2026, at the age of 62, following a brief battle with lung cancer.
Known to some as Mom, to others as Doreen, and to many as Mama D, Doreen was a warm, caring, and loving presence to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She had a heart that seemed to have no limit, always making room for one more person who needed love, comfort, or simply a safe place to belong.
Doreen had a special way of making people feel cared for. She would take in as many neighborhood strays as she could possibly fit, because to her, if someone—or something—needed a safe place, there was always room in her heart. Her love was vibrant, unconditional, and could be felt no matter the distance between her and the people she loved.
Doreen was the wife of the late Fred Sullivan and the devoted mother of Julie and her husband Nick Pace of Foxboro, MA; Jessica and her husband Todd Marsh of NH; Jenn and her wife Rachel Pace of Bridgewater, MA; and Tiffany Sullivan and her partner Josh King of NH. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Sullivan of Brockton, MA.
She was a proud Nana to Brandon, Tyler, and Julian, who brought a special kind of joy and love into her life.
Doreen's love, kindness, and unmistakable spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will continue to surround the people and lives she touched.
Doreen will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements are finalized.
