
Sandra J. (Proctor) Gosselin, 88, passed away at Hampden Post Acute Care on October 2, 2026. She was born in Springfield, MA, on July 5, 1938, to the late John and Roxie (Wilson) Proctor.
Sandy was educated in the Ludlow public schools. She pursued her education, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1970 from Westfield State College. In 1983, she received her Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Elementary School Administration from Westfield State College as well. Sandy was a teacher in the Chicopee school system for many years and eventually became principal of Streiber School in Chicopee.
Following her retirement, Sandy and her husband Bob moved to Cape Cod, where she spent many enjoyable years until returning to the Springfield area following her husband’s death. Sandra also enjoyed knitting, reading, crocheting, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Gosselin; her sister, Elizabeth Torrey; and her niece, Linda Dugas.
Sandra leaves her three nieces, Diane Pacocha and her husband, Edward, of Ludlow; Jennifer Adrian and her husband, Kent, of California; and Carol Grabiec and her husband, Richard, of Chicopee; three nephews, David Torrey of California, Denis Dugas of Southampton, and Edward Gosselin and his wife, Terry, of Springfield; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield Street, Chicopee, MA, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. A period of visitation will be held that morning, Friday, October 9, 2026, at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
