Joanne Gerardi Fulciniti, 62, of Peabody, died on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Born in Boston, on March 16th, 1964, she was the daughter of Leonarda Gerardi and the late Antonio V. Gerardi. She worked as a beloved office manager at Quorvo, where her no-nonsense approach and uncensored honesty endeared her to her coworkers.
Joanne's first love was her family and friends. In her sisters, she found her first best friends. In recent years, watching her nieces and nephews grow their own families and raise their children gave her great joy. Just a few years ago, she was thrilled to become a grandmother to Luca, who filled her heart with love and laughter. Her second love was Italy, where she spent her summers: the beaches at Copanello and Soverato, and the unhurried days there with her loving Calabrian family. While Calabria became a second home, she remained proudly Sicilian: in the dialect she spoke, in her cooking, and in her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Piero Fulciniti; her son, Saverio Fulciniti; her grandson, Luca Fulciniti; her mother, Leonarda Gerardi; and her sisters, Marilena Klisiaris and her husband, Greg, and Lisa Grieco and her husband, Tony. She also leaves her nieces, Antonette Deletesky, Arianna Klisiaris, and Christina Grieco; her nephews, Antonio Klisiaris and Demetri Klisiaris; and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit with Joanne’s family on Thursday, October 8th, from 4 to 7 PM, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, and again on Friday, October 9th, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joanne’s name to the LUNGevity Foundation at lungevity.org.
