CATAPANO, Maureen P. (O’Sullivan) of Dedham, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away on September 29, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Michael Catapano. Devoted mother of John F. Anderson II., and his wife Margaret. Loving grandmother of Molly Harris. Dear sister of Rosemarie O’Sullivan Stassa and her husband Peter of Framingham, and Eileen Zoldak and her husband David of Peabody. Cherished aunt of Caitlin Stassa and Christina Zoldak. She is survived by her longtime friend Evelyn Wigmore as well as many cousins and friends.
Maureen lived a vibrant and full life; whether she was walking for a cause, putting together a fabulously color-coordinated outfit, crocheting baby blankets, or playing one of many, many rounds of bingo, she loved channeling her energy into hobbies and sharing that joy with others. She was an avid reader, a devoted Red Sox fan, and an adoptive mother to any stray cat lucky enough to wander into her yard. Her career as a nurse was driven by her deep sense of care for others and her loyal, reliable nature, all of which were a constant gift to the many people she loved. She was endlessly generous and deeply loving, and left a lasting impact everywhere she went.
Visiting hours will be held at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Sunday, October 4th from 12-3pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, October 5th at 10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury at 11:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
