LACONIA ---- Regis Mary (Decato) Lacroix, 94, of 27 Regis Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 25, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on March 10, 1932, Regis was the daughter of the late Dallas and Exzelia
(Rameor) Decato.
A lifelong resident of Laconia, she was a cherished member of the community, serving for many years at the local polls. She was also a devoted parishioner of St. André Bessette Parish and an active member of the Ladies Guild.
Regis spent her career serving the City of Laconia as Deputy Tax Collector, retiring after 22 years of dedicated service. She was an avid traveler who loved exploring the country in her motor home, collecting memories and stories she joyfully shared. A proud Red Sox fan, she was often seen wearing her favorite Red Sox gear.
At her core, Regis was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. At
family gatherings she loved to sit back, take it all in, and remain close to her
grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Her love for family extended to the many animals she cared for throughout her life.
Regis is survived by her sons, Paul, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Bridgewater, and Michael and his wife Holly of Rutland, VT; her daughters Cheryl and her husband Skip, Priscilla, and Anna, all of Laconia; ten grandchildren; twenty greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers Henry, Ovide, Emile, Dorea, and Leo; her sister Bertha; and her beloved son-in-law Roger.
A Calling Hour will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 9:00am-10:00am at the St. Andre Bessette Parish - Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave., Laconia NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am at the St. Andre Bessette Parish - Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
Burial will follow Mass in the family lot in St. Lambert Cemetery, Province Street, Laconia, NH.
