Bridgewater- Catherine J. (Jackson) Rice, 92, of Bridgewater, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. She was the wife of the late Edward W. Rice.
Born Sept. 13, 1914, in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Elvin and Sophia (Riley) Jackson.
Mrs. Rice was a graduate of Bridgewater High School and Goddard Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgewater.
Mrs. Rice enjoyed the beach, boating, knitting, braiding, painting, caning (chairs), bicycling and baking.
She was the mother of William E. Rice of Manomet, Don W. Rice of Centerville and Joan Rice of Bridgewater; grandmother of two. Also survived by five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours omitted. Private graveside service Thursday at 10 am in Mt. Prospect Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater.
