Dennis James Griffin, 72, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, September 25, 2026. He was born on November 27, 1953, in Lowell, Massachusetts, the son of the late James Gerald Griffin and Madeleine (LaChance) Griffin.
Dennis spent 50 years at Raytheon Company, where he made many lasting friendships and served for many years as a union steward.
He had a passion for cars and could fix just about anything. He also loved renovating houses and took great pride in his craftsmanship.
Dennis will be deeply missed by his daughter, Allison Griffin; his stepson and his wife, Christopher and Amy Silveira; his sisters, Louise Griffin and Margaret and her husband, Richard Sarmento; his brother and his wife, Timothy and Brenda Griffin; his sister-in-law, Debra Florence; and his many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Daisy and Cash.
He showed his love not always through words, but through the things he did for the people he cared about. He was hardworking, dependable, talented, and always willing to help.
Dennis will be remembered with so much love and will be especially missed by his wife, Janet, and his family. We will miss him in the everyday moments and all the little things that will remind us of him. Most of all, we will miss Dennis just being Dennis.
At the request of the family, services will be private.
