Eileen Patricia (Kenny) Nee passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family. She spent the majority of her life in Roslindale, which she always considered home, her summers in East Falmouth, and later years in Walpole. Beloved wife of the late John J. Nee, Esq., she was a devoted mother of John “Jack” Nee, Jr. and his wife Judy of Winthrop, Mary “Mimi” Connell and her husband Jim of Walpole, Eileen “Frankie” Meaney and her husband Jeff of Walpole, Thomas Nee and his wife Maureen of Arlington. Loving grandmother of John “Jack” III (Lily), Thomas, and Isabelle Nee; Julia, Patrick, and Bridget Connell; Kathleen Murphy (Jerry), and Jeffrey Meaney (Jacqueline); Coleman, Brendan, and Evan Nee. Great grandmother of Jerry III, Molly, and Thomas Murphy; and Clare Meaney. Dear sister of the late Mary Hennessey, Eleanor Spitz, Rita Keane, Michael, Donald, and Billy Kenny. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Eileen attended Framingham State College and later relocated to Washington DC where she enlisted as an Officer in the U.S. Public Health Service. Her career as a Dietitian spanned healthcare, education, and correctional settings. Eileen was always helping others and devoted her life to family, faith, and her community. Eileen found joy in connecting with people, watching Boston sports games, and spending time with those she loved. Some of her happiest memories were summers in Falmouth. Above all, Eileen was the heart of her family. Visiting Hours at William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral procession from William J. Gormley Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St., West Roxbury at 11:00am.
