Cecelia A. (Maurici) Pierce, age 81, of North Easton, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the embracing love of her family on Sunday, September 27, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Pierce, to whom she was wed for fifty-nine years.
Born in South Boston, MA on June 28, 1945, she was a loving daughter of the late Placido J. and Gloria A. (Perna) Maurici.
Celia grew up in South Boston and Wakefield and was a 1963 graduate of Wakefield High School. A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Celia had also worked as an administrative assistant for the Stock Market in Boston and for Mystic Valley Gas in Malden.
Celia’s family was her life and greatest joy and she delighted in attending all of her grandchildren’s activities. She was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, an active member and secretary for T.E.M.P.O and a member of a Foxborough friends knitting group. Celia was a big-hearted dog lover and will always be fondly remembered by family and others, for her remarkable cooking skills.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted daughters, Nicole Steeves and her husband Michael of Easton and Danielle Appugliese and her husband David of Easton. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of Rebecca and Alexander Steeves, Xavier, Vittoria, Vienna and Devereaux Appugliese. She was the dear sister of the late Roy Maurici, Joseph Maurici and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 2nd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her funeral will begin on Saturday, October 3rd at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in Saint Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106), Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in North Easton.
