Amy S. Rheault-Heafield, 56 died September 23, 2026 at her home, unexpectedly. She was born in Manchester on February 19, 1970; the daughter of the late Armand Rheault and Mary Ellen (Daniels) Rheault. Amy was a graduate of Manchester West High School. She went on to obtain a Bachelors degree from Wheelock College in Boston and a Masters Degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass. Her early career as a classroom teacher brought her to schools in San Salvador and Massachusetts. She paused her career to raise her children and support her family, before returning to various teaching positions in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She was a talented creator and artist, an impressive linguist (French, Spanish, Italian), an avid reader and amazing chef. She adored and pampered her corgi, Aggie. Amy was the most beloved wife, mother, sister and daughter. She brought light, humor, love and laughter to anyone she graced with her undeniable strong willed, charismatic and spunky presence. She loved to listen to anyone who would tell their story and share perspective. She was a work of art and always will be. She will be found in color, music, language, and anything beautiful, just like her. She was an advocate for those who couldn’t advocate for themselves. She taught and inspired her family, students, friends and anyone who would listen. Learning about the world and sharing her love for culture brought a sparkle to her beautiful blue eyes. Family members include her mother, Mary Ellen (Daniels) Rheault, her loving husband, Karl Heafield of New Boston, her three children; Maya Heafield-Nicholson and her husband Sean, of San Clemente, CA, Luke Heafield, and his fiance Heather, of Marlborough, MA, Eliza Heafield of London, England, six brothers and sisters; Jonathan Rheault and his wife, Terese, David Rheault and his wife, Magali, Randolph Rheault and his wife, Susan, Julie Rheault and her husband, Rafik, George Rheault and his wife, Kelly, Diana Rheault, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester NH 03101.
