Joseph S. “Sully” Calautti, 71 of Somerville, died Tuesday after a brief illness.
Born in Belmont, he lived in Somerville for the last 50 years and was the son of the late Rose (Tavanese) and Domenic Calautti. Mr. Calautti was a Somerville Police Officer for 30 years and retired in 1991. He also served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Joseph was a member of the Arlington Men´s Club and the American Legion Dilboy Post 19.
Beloved husband of the late Mary J. (Massimi) Calautti. Devoted father of Vincent J. Calautti and his wife Dawn of Methuen, Elaina M. Guy and her husband John of Somerville, Donna L. Braga and her husband Chris of Bedford, NH. Loving papa of Vincent Jr., Johnny, Ariana, Sarah, Dylan, Christian, Juliana, Marina, and Thomas. Brother of Domenic Calautti of Woburn.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
