Lisa Joy Stone Whitfield, 64, of Lakeview, Alabama, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held for Ms. Whitfield in the chapel of Bowen- Donaldson Home for Funerals on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Ms. Whitfield will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens following the service. A visitation will be held at Bowen- Donaldson on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will accept friends and guests.
Lisa leaves behind a lifetime of laughter and memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Lisa was a caring wife to Randall, a loving mother to her two sons, Robert (Robin) and John (Crystal), a treasured stepmother to Jennifer, and a fun-loving Nana and Meemaw to her four grandchildren. She brought laughter and joy wherever she went, and her playful spirit made time spent with her so memorable.
Lisa was a devoted daughter and leaves behind her beloved mother, Sandra. She was a cherished sister to Laura, Jennifer, and Stephanie. The bonds she shared with her family were precious, and she will be deeply missed.
Lisa had a special place in her heart for animals, especially those in need. She cared for rescue animals and believed in giving them the second chances they deserved. Her compassion touched the lives of countless animals.
Lisa is preceded in death by her beloved father, Jerry Stone. She will be remembered for her laughter, her sense of fun, and the love she so freely gave.
Remembering her always are her mother, Sandra; her sons, Robert and John; her four grandchildren; her sisters, Laura, Jennifer, and Stephanie; her husband, Randall Whitfield, her stepdaughter Jennifer, her extended family and all the lives—both human and animal—she touched.
Though her absence leaves an ache, Lisa’s laughter, love, compassion, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
