Isabel (Yebba) Greenwood, age 89, of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, September 23rd, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Raised and educated in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Natalina (Pasi) Yebba. Isabel lived in Medford for many years and worked as a bookkeeper, and spent the last four decades in Stoneham. She was a strong and independent woman who adored her family. Isabel was an avid gardener and a hard worker. Even in retirement, she knitted clothes for all her grandchildren.

Isabel was beloved wife of the late Robert W. Greenwood, and the devoted mother of Robert W. Greenwood, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Tewksbury, and Natalie Knowles and her husband John of Wakefield. She was the loving grandmother of Gabrielle Leonard, Robert Greenwood, III and his wife Rachel, Matthew Greenwood and his wife Brianna, Erin DeMartino, John Knowles and Nicholas Knowles. Isabel was the cherished great grandmother of Olivia, Charlotte and Robert Greenwood, IV, Amelia and Buddy Leonard, and Isabella and Colton Greenwood. She was the dear sister of Mabel DeSimone and the late Simone (Sonny), Carmella, Theresa, Carolyn and Francis. Isabel is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and her dearest friend of 85 years, Marie Proia.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, October 5th from 4 to 8 PM, and again of Tuesday October 6th at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
