Obituary

Gabriel Wollman, a resident of Beverly, Chelsea, and Peabody, MA died at the Beverly Hospital on September 26, 2006. He was 79 years old.

Born in Roumania, Mr. Wollman was educated in the Chelsea schools and graduated from the Chelsea High School. Mr. Wollman was a World War Two Navy Veteran during which time he was awarded the World War Two Victory Medal and the American Area Medal. Mr. Wollman was a retired salesman for the Salem Evening News.

Mr. Wollman was the beloved husband of Joan (Desjardin) and was the devoted father of Marcia Freeman of California, Steven Wollman and his wife Nora of Peabody, Bruce Wollman and his wife Sharon of Somerville, Suzanne Colanto of Beverly, and Deborah Irving and her husband Stuart of Beverly. Mr. Wollman was the dear brother of Benjamin Wollman of California, Saul Tabachnick of Methuen, and the late Dorothy Wolfe. He was also the loving grandfather of Sean, Ashley, Andrew, and Haley.

Funeral service will be held at Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq.) Chelsea on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Rabbi Frank Waldorf of Brookline, MA will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Beverly. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Wollman, Friday, September 29nd until sundown; Saturday evening September 30th , and Sunday October 1st until 5:00 PM.
