Dorothy Marie Snyder was wonderful and wild, generous and kind, and entirely herself. She had a way of making life bigger and more colorful for the people around her. To know Dorothy was to have stories to tell.
She was a mother who loved deeply and a grandmother whose love reached into another generation. Her family will remember her spirit, her generosity, and the moments that could only have happened with her in them.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, John Snyder; her daughter Jamie Snyder, Jamie’s husband Jason Hunter, and their daughter Sophie Hunter; and her daughter Christina Snyder, Christina’s wife Maggie Suprey, and their daughter Davis Suprey.
We will miss her more than words can hold. We’ll carry her with us in the stories we tell, the kindness we give, and the love she leaves behind.
A Funeral Mass for Dorothy will be celebrated in the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church), 1545 Tremont St. Mission Hill on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
