HARRINGTON, Eileen M. (Rowley) of West Roxbury, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 23, 2026.
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Patrick Harrington, originally of County Cork, Ireland, and the devoted mother of Kristen Harrington of West Roxbury. She was the cherished daughter of the late Patrick Rowley of County Sligo, Ireland, and Mary Kate (O'Malley) Rowley of County Mayo, Ireland.
She was the loving sister of John "Jack" Rowley and his wife Maureen of Walpole; James "Jim" Rowley and his wife Joanne of West Roxbury; the late Thomas "Tom" Rowley and his wife Katherine of West Roxbury; and Mary "Maureen" Mannix and her husband Kevin of West Roxbury.
Eileen was a devoted aunt and great-aunt and is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Family was the center of her life, and she took great joy in the many relationships she nurtured throughout the years.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of the Deutsches Altenheim German Centre in West Roxbury for their extraordinary kindness, compassion, and dedicated care.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Name Church, West Roxbury, at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours and funeral services.
