East Waterboro – Sylvia Marie Morin, 74, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, in Biddeford, Maine, after a long illness.
Born on June 14, 1952, in Biddeford, Maine, Sylvia was the daughter of Albert and Anna Nadeau of Saco. She graduated from Thornton Academy in 1970 and soon married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Morin of Saco. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories
Sylvia began her professional career with the Massabesic School District in the administrative office before joining the Social Security Administration. She later spent many years with Unum, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic.
A talented and passionate quilter, Sylvia found great joy in creating beautiful quilts for family and friends. Her handmade gifts remain treasured reminders of her creativity, generosity, and love.
She was predeceased by her parents and her older brother, Claude Nadeau.
Sylvia is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald "Ron" Morin; her son, Dennis Morin and his wife, Monica, of Scarborough; her daughter, Melanie Angevine and her husband, Dean, of Lovell; her brothers, Roger Nadeau and James Nadeau; her sisters, Claudette Garon, Carmen Paquette, and Linda Nielson; and her seven beloved grandchildren, Abby, Chelsea, Paige, Austin, Ben, Justin, and Nicole. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
