After thirty-two years of love, laughter and happiness, God called our Doreese Licari to come home to share His eternal peace. Born on May 20, 1994 Doreese was the daughter of Charlotte Deveney of Medford and Wakefield and the late James G. Licari of East Boston. She was the beloved sister and dear friend of James L. Licari. Doreese was the granddaughter of the late James and Doris Deveney of Medford and the late Leonard and Mary Licari of East Boston. She was the niece of James I., Jr. and Anne Deveney, Dennis and Nina Deveney, David and Annemarie Deveney, Richard and Cheryl Williams, Richard and Nancy Licari, Michael Licari, and the late Robert and Stephen Licari. Her delightful presence will be sorely missed by her many Deveney and Licari cousins as well as special auntie Bernadette Davis. Doreese was devoted to her two dogs, Wendal and Melvin.
Doreese graduated from Arlington Catholic High School, class of 2012, as a member of the National Honor Society. She also attended the Salter School , UCLA-CA and was also a nanny while living in California.
Doreese will be remembered for many special reasons. Thinking she was a fashion icon, she would always sport the latest trend in alternative fashion with all the accessories that went with it. She loved to laugh especially when it involved a bit of mischief. As a kid she loved lessons- art, clay, dancing-you name it. She also loved her six years as a cheerleader for the Medford Mustangs being part of the squad that won two national championships. She and her cousins were always up to something. Close in age, the cousins were known around Medford as the ‘devil dogs’, double D, always up to something. Doreese had beautiful blue eyes, a gentle kindness, a hilarious sense of humor and the best hugs ever.
Doreese will be remembered and celebrated on September 30th, 2026, with visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, from 9-11 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Saint Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow and will be with her maternal grandparents in Oak Grove Cemetery.
