Lucille E. Mousseau 74 of St. Paul St. North Smithfield, died Monday in the Hebert Nursing Home after a brief battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Albert Mousseau. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Yvonne (Delnat) Devisch. Mrs. Mousseau was the head baker at Almac’s Park Square Woonsocket before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the North Smithfield Sr. Citizens, and an active member of St. John’s Church in Slatersville where she served as a Eucharistic minister and choir member.
Mrs. Mousseau is survived by four children; Janet Vitale of Woonsocket, Lorraine Slaney and her husband Kevin of Providence, Marcel Mousseau and his wife Sheryl of Clovis NM, and Richard Mousseau and his wife Lynne of Stratham NH. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Melissa and Justin Vitale, Benjamin and Timothy Mousseau, and Evan and Sarah Mousseau, and one great grandchild Jordan Vitale. She is also survived by one sister Jeannine Grenier of North Smithfield.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 in St. John’s Church in Slatersville. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
