Sara Daskam Howe Kunz passed away in March at age 76 after a 6 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. She leaves behind husband of 54 years Eben W. Kunz, sons Eben A. and Peter D. grandson Corbin, sister Frances and the late sister Mary.
Sara attended Notre Dame Academy, and Brandeis University finishing at Harvard with a Master's degree in Physics. She worked at Brandeis under Dr. Alfred Redfield and others, developing NMR spectroscopy for biological research. She went on to assist graduate students and to maintain spectroscopy equipment, retiring at 65. After retirement she sang with various groups including the Harvard-Radcliffe chorus.
Sara enjoyed early years in Abington, MA, later living with her own family in Boston and spending many summer days at her lake cabin in Middleboro.

A service and celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm on October 10, 2026 at St. Stephens Church, 419 Shawmut Ave., Boston. Followed by refreshments at St. Stephens.
