Wright, Catherine M. (Burns) of Needham, entered peacefully into eternal life on September 15, 2026, at the age of 96 after a long illness. Born and raised in Boston, she was the dearly beloved and devoted mother of Catherine Wright Lawless of Albuquerque, NM, David Wright of Worcester, Karen Wright of Framingham, and the late Nancy Wright of Dover. Sister of Patricia Conners of Westwood and her husband Stephen, and aunt of their children Maureen, William, and Nancy. Grandmother of Dana Wright of Framingham. Daughter of the late William and Gertrude Burns of Roslindale.
She was a long time employee of Norfolk County until her retirement in 2008. Catherine had a strong faith and unfailing trust in God, which sustained her throughout the challenges of life. She loved her children dearly and always did her best for them. She was a very caring and humble and loving woman, who always thought of others and put them first. Catherine was a truly beautiful soul, who will be dearly missed.
Visitation at George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave, Needham, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM, followed by a Requiem Mass at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, 270 Elliot St, Newton Upper Falls on Wednesday, September 23, at 10:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to your favorite charity.
