
Arthur R. Fennelly, age 89, of Interlachen, FL, formerly of Woburn and Wakefield, passed away peacefully, September 4, 2026. Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Laraine M. (Hill) Fennelly. Born in Wakefield he was the son of the late Frederick and Edith (Johnston) Fennelly.
Arthur was raised and educated in Wakefield and was a 1955 graduate of Wakefield High School. Arthur proudly and honorably served in the United States Army and also served with the Army National Guard for six years. Arthur worked for nearly fifty years as a talented carpenter in the Construction Industry, a craft he loved and took great pride in. Arthur was also a big fan of Boston Sports, always keeping up to date on how they were playing. Arthur enjoyed being outdoors and for many years he could be seen walking all over town with his beloved fur friend "Mitzie".
Arthur was the devoted father of Katrina Fennelly of Florida formerly of Woburn, sons, Arthur Fennelly Jr., Paul Fennelly and James Fennelly, of Wakefield, and Keith Fennelly of Everett. He is also survived by many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Brother of the late Mary Farrell and her late husband Clayton of California.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Friday, October 2nd, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
