Nancy J. Vecchione, 89, of Londonderry, NH, died Thursday, September 10, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 25, 1936, in Newton, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Hall) McNamara. She was a resident of Londonderry for 46 years, formerly of West Newton, MA. Nancy worked at Newton Wellesley Hospital, Londonderry Bank & Trust, and retired from Northeast Airgas. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She most enjoyed trips to Disney World, time at Cape Cod, and numerous adventures with her family.
Nancy is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Daniel J. Vecchione. She is survived by her six children, Cindy Abbott and her husband William of Londonderry, Kenneth Vecchione and his wife Margie of Londonderry, Cheryl Vecchione-Young and her husband James of Londonderry, Kevin Vecchione and his wife Frances of Newton, MA, Cathy Lynch and her husband Ken of Londonderry, Carolyn Hoyt and her husband John of Londonderry and her dog Stout. Eleven grandchildren, Kelly, Kristen, Kaitlyn, Keith, Colleen, Michelle, Micaela, Meghan, Colby, McKenzie, and Emily. Nine great-grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Harper, Landon, Molly, William, Owen, Lucas, James and one more great grandson soon to arrive. She is also survived by her sister, Judith Proia and her husband Steve of Newton, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday the 17th at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd, Londonderry. The burial will be held privately at a later date in Pillsbury Cemetery, Hovey Rd., Londonderry. Memorial contributions may be made to Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd, Manchester NH.
