Obituary

Kevin T Walsh, of Weymouth formerly of Dorchester, passed away on September 6, 2026.

A husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many.

Kevin passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with Parkinson’s. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and kindness that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Family:
Kevin was a devoted husband of 54 years to Joyce (Mahoney) Walsh, loving father to Lisa Dembowski and Julie Walsh and son-in-law Michael McCann all of Weymouth. He was so proud of his grandchildren Lauren, Thomas, Colleen, and Kate who brought him so much joy and laughter. Kevin was the son of the late William and Rita Walsh, brother to Peter and the late Sheryl Walsh, Robert and Peggie Walsh, and Annemarie and Tim Cuellar. He was brother-in-law to Jean/Paul Comparetti, Ellen Hayes, Judy/Mike Morrissey, (Late) Paul/Theresa Mahoney, Peter Mahoney, Karen Mahoney, Marian/Paul O’Brien, Matthew/Mary Mahoney, Kathleen/Tom Moynihan, and Susanne Cunningham/Patrick McCabe. He was an uncle to many nephews and nieces.

Legacy:
Kevin loved his family beyond measure. He was known as a quiet gentleman and someone you could always rely on. He loved playing all sports and was a true devoted fan of the Patriots. He especially loved playing golf as often as he could. He ran the St. Gregory Parish Golf Tournament and served on the Parish Finance Board for many years. He will be missed by many life-long friends but especially by his friend of 65 plus years - Edward Moynihan. He was a long time employee of Boston Edison and ended his career working in the Attorney Generals Office.

Funeral arrangements at St. Gregory Church in Dorchester. Wake will be held from 9:30am-10am on Wednesday September 16th immediately followed by a funeral mass. Celebration of life will follow at Florian Hall in Dorchester 11:30-2:30. Interment will be private.
