Raisa (Belsky) Kaganovich, a resident of Brighton and the beloved wife of the late Joseph Kaganovich, passed away at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale at the age of 98.
Born in Moscow, Russia, Raisa was the beloved daughter of the late Rafael and Sara (Maizel) Belsky. She and her husband immigrated to the United States in 1991, where they built a new life surrounded by their loving daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Raisa cherished living in the United States and, above all, treasured the time she was able to spend with her family.
Raisa was a caring, loving, and remarkably strong woman. She deeply valued her family and friendships and enjoyed spending time with the many people who were important to her. She also enjoyed attending the Stay Well Adult Day Care in Salem, where she formed meaningful friendships and was part of a community she greatly enjoyed. She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and devotion to those she loved, and she will be dearly missed.
Raisa is survived by her loving daughter, Sophia Moroz and her husband, Paul, of Brookline; her grandchildren, Andrew Moroz and his wife, Inessa, of Utah, Natalie Karagodsky and her husband, Igor, of Brookline, and Daniel Moroz of San Francisco, California; and her great-grandchildren, Ada, Frederick, and Eugene Moroz, and Ethan, Olivia, and Ben Karagodsky.
Raisa was also the loving sister of the late Emmanuel Belsky.
Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover.
