Obituary

Marie Sophonie Mesidor Auguste, born on May 19, 1983, in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, was born into a Christian family where faith, service, and love for others were deeply valued. She grew up with a strong devotion to God and dedicated much of her life to serving others with faith, compassion, and devotion.

Marie Sophonie completed her classical education at Collège Lavoisier in Haiti. Passionate about education and deeply committed to the children of her community, she devoted her life to teaching. She served as a teacher, principal, and founder of Flamboyant School, located in Cottard, Haiti. Through her dedication and vision, she helped provide educational opportunities to many children in the Cottard community, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

As the eldest daughter of the late Pastor Franck MESIDOR, Marie Sophonie held a special place within her family. She was a woman of faith and a devoted servant of God, known for her dedication, willingness to serve, love for others, and desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

Marie Sophonie was a member of Eben-Ezer Maison de Prière in Haiti, where she also served as president of the church choir. Through her commitment to the church and her ministry through music, she expressed her love for God and encouraged others to remain strong in their faith.

She was the beloved wife of Beaumaire Auguste, with whom she shared three children: Fedorah J. Auguste, Christopher S. Auguste, and Isadorah C. Auguste. Her family was a profound source of joy, love, and pride in her life.

Marie Sophonie leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Majeula Louis; her brothers, Pastor Frantz Mesidor, Pastor Carlens Mesidor, Ing. Evens Mesidor, Dr. Johnny Mesidor, Jr. Steeve Mesidor, and Dr. Billy R. Mesidor; as well as her children, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her presence and testimony.

Her faith, love, dedication to children, service to God, and commitment to her community will remain forever engraved in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

May her memory remain a blessing, and may the legacy of faith, service, and love that she leaves behind continue to live on through her family, her students, her church, and her community
