Reverend Charles Arthur Cid, 75, of Ventura, has entered God’s heavenly gates on September 5, 2026, in Ventura, CA. Charles was born in Ventura to James D. Cid and Mary Louise on August 20, 1951. He attended Ventura High School. He served briefly in the U.S. Army. Charles is known for his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved listening to gospel music and preaching the word of God everywhere he went and anything else.
Charles is survived by his beloved daughter, Brianna Cid. He is also survived by his parents, James and Elaine Cid of NV, his mother Mary Louise Goins of Coarsegold, CA. His siblings Linda of Australia, Deborah of OR, Wan(Netta)/Tim, Richard/Valerie, of San Jose, CA, Jack II/Kathy, of Coarsegold, CA, and Sharon and James Cid Jr. Charles also treasured Sylvia/Eddie and their children, Alexis and her children, Cheyanne and her child, Nicholas, and Samantha.
Charles is survived by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as all his sisters and brothers in Christ. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to his best friend Robert and Tina and their family, The Hatcher family, His niece, Miranda and the numerous friends, aides/nurses/caregivers, as well as all the neighbors who have been so kind to him over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 19th, 2026 at 10am in the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY, 15 TELOMA DRIVE, Ventura, CA. Arrangements are under the direction of Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home.
