EPSTEIN, Kathleen (Murray) of Melrose passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026. Beloved significant other of late Steven Hemeon. Loving mother of Kayla Epstein of Massachusetts, Kelly Hemeon of Rhode Island, Charles Hemeon of Massachusetts. Beloved sister to the late Kevin Murray, Elizabeth Murray and her husband Ronel Padilla. Aunt of eight, great aunt of six. Daughter in law of Deborah McDonough.
Known for her sweet demeanor and gentle kindness, she was the kind of person who always had a smile ready and never hesitated to help someone in need. Her proudest role in life was being a mother, and she never missed an opportunity to brag about her children's achievements to anyone who would listen. A devoted, lifelong follower of the Boston Bruins, her enthusiasm and love for life were infectious. While her absence leaves an unbearable void in our family, we hold tightly to our cherished memories and look forward to the day we are reunited once more.
Visiting hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday, September 17th from 4-8pm.
