Marlene M. (Toomey) Gath, age 79, passed away at home on Monday, August 31, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of James H. Gath, who passed away on February 28, 2003.
Born in Boston on November 12, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Francis E. Toomey and the late Martha A. (Reddick) (Toomey) Gregory.
Marlene was raised in Billerica, attended Billerica Public schools and graduated from Billerica High School in 1964.
Marlene resided in Littleton for many years until moving to Tewksbury in 2004.
Prior to retiring, she worked as a security administrator for the MITRE Corporation in Bedford.
Family members include Debbie (Gregory) Hanafin and her husband Charles, of Hudson, NH, Robert E. Toomey, of Acton, Lisa (Gath) Frontain, of Tewksbury, Donna M. Gath and her husband John Marsh, of Salem, NH, the late Leah (Gregory) Goguen. She was the grandmother of Cody Frontain, Zach Frontain and his wife Lauren, Faith Rocco, Katelyn Frontain, Lauren Frontain, Lindsey Frontain and the late Brody Rocco. Marlene leaves her close friend, Kevin Frontain, of Methuen.
At Marlene’s request there are No Services. Those who wish may make a donation to Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) Foundation in remembrance of her grandson, Brody Rocco.
