Maristella Louise Aoyama, 14 days old, beloved daughter of Jenna Marie (Desrosiers) Aoyama and Michael Pedro Aoyama of Woonsocket. Maristella was born on August 20, 2026 at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence and passed from the loving arms of her mom and dad into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Wednesday evening September 2, 2026 at Women and Infants.
Maristella brought love, joy and light into the lives of her loved ones and the lasting impact of her all-too-brief life will be felt by everyone for years to come.
Maristella gave the “Gift of Life” as an organ donor to help those in need.
Jenna and Michael wish to express their deep gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and health care professionals at Women and Infants for their care and support they have received. Thank you all and “God Bless” you in your mission of providing care for those in need.
Maristella is survived by her parents Jenna and Michael and her siblings Marie Rose Therese Aoyama, John Marc Joseph Aoyama and Julianne Marie Aoyama. Maristella joins in eternity her siblings Mercy May Aoyama and Nicholas Hope Aoyama. She was the granddaughter of Hisao and Maria Amelia (Pedro) Aoyama and Louise (Marcotte) Desrosiers and her late husband Kenneth Desrosiers who passed away in 1994. Maristella was the great-granddaughter of Gilberte Desrosiers. She is also survived by her extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Everyone is invited to gather to pray for the repose of Maristella’s soul and for the consolation of her family at her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday September 11, 2026 at 10:00 am in St. Agatha’s Church, Joffre St. Woonsocket. Maristella will be laid to rest at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
Visiting hours are Thursday September 10th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
