BRAINTREE, MA --- Norma (Gullicksen) Casali, age 98, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Norma was born in Quincy, MA, on July 8, 1928. She grew up in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School. She worked as an administrative assistant for John Hancock Life Insurance Company and even modeled for the company’s magazine.
Norma was the beloved wife of the late Mario (Mike) Casali. They married in 1950 and lived in Newport, RI, before settling in Braintree, MA, in 1954, where they raised their family. Norma loved reading books, magazines, and the Boston Globe. Her quick wit was evident at our weekly Friday night pizza gatherings around her uncle’s antique oak table. She spent summers on Lake Winnipesaukee where she and Mario enjoyed spending time with their family. Above all else, Norma dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a home filled with love and laughter. Her unwavering love will never be forgotten.
Norma was the loving mother of, and survived by, Joan Casali, of Braintree, MA, Marilyn Endicott and her husband Bill, of Laconia, NH, and Estero FL, Nancy Carey and her husband David, of Foxborough, MA, and Jack Casali and his wife Cathy, of Norfolk, MA. She is survived by her seven grandchildren, Joseph Sico, Michael Sico, Brian Curran and his wife Jamie Richardson, Daniel Casali, Katherine Kummer and her husband Steven, Jonathan Casali and his wife Deanna, Sarah Caldwell and her husband John. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren: Abigail, Elizabeth, and Margaret Kummer; Anthony and Jack Casali; and Vanna and Jack Caldwell.
Services will be private.
