Ronald Wayne Hudson, 79, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, September 10, at the Frank Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Elder Chad O’Quinn officiating. The interment will follow in the Frank Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
Mr. Hudson was born August 24, 1947, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late William Fluker and Nova King Hudson. He was a farmer and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Hudson served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps and received a Purple Heart.
He is survived by his children: Wayne Hudson & Connie, and Jane McClelland; grandchildren: Lauren Diakogiannis & Austin, Lillian Phillips & Colby Shealey, Cam McClelland & Maddie, Levi Hudson & Daisy, Walker Hudson, Tommy Calhoun and Luke Calhoun & Venessa; 8 great grandchildren; his siblings: Sandra Hudson, Gail Hobbs, and Tim Hudson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son Danny Hudson.
