Obituary

Ellen N. (Mosher) Krupowicz, 91, of Little Compton, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Holiday Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Krupowicz.

Ellen was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Charles R. Mosher and the late Ellen (Hansen) Bliss and had been a longtime resident of Little Compton. Prior to retirement, she worked as a banker for Hospital Trust, Middletown and as a postal worker for the United States Postal Service, Little Compton. She attended St. Andrew's By the Sea, Little Compton and always had her Bible nearby.

Ellen had a deep love for South Shore/Goosewing Beach and spent every morning walking the beach and shore birding. She also had a special love for cats and invested most of her time feeding, caring for, and trapping feral cats with Pawswatch. In her years she had many interests that she enjoyed: gardening, knitting, reading, antiquing, walking, having tea at the Commons Lunch with the “Tea Bags,” and spending time with her family and friends. She was an incredibly selfless woman who always put the needs of others before herself.

She is survived by her 2 daughters: Naomi M. Simmons of N. Providence and Heather D. Simmons of Middletown; her daughter-in-law: Teresa A. Simmons of Blairsville, GA; and her 3 grandchildren: Heather A. (Harold Stevens III) Simmons, Dawn M. (Nicholas Beeckman) Simmons, and David P. Simmons.

She was the mother of the late David B. Simmons, sister of the late Charles R. Mosher, Jr., step-daughter of the late Ambrose Bliss, and step-sister of the late Donald Bliss and Joanne Albert.

Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton at 11:30 A.M. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
