Obituary

Beverly A. O’Donnell, 88, formerly a lifelong resident of Derry, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at All American Assisted Living in Londonderry, NH. She was born on March 27, 1938, in E. Derry, NH, a daughter of the late Elmer and Lena (Duvarney) Newcomb.

Beverly graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry with the Class of 1956 and later served as a correspondent for the school’s Alumnus magazine. She retired from Treasure Masters in Derry after many years of dedicated service. Beverly was also a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry, where she spent many years helping with Bingo.

Above all, Beverly cherished her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and proudly attended their sporting events whenever she could. Family reunions in Houlton, ME, held a special place in her heart and brought together the people she loved most. Her devotion to her family and the memories they created together will be deeply treasured.

She is survived by her son, Thomas O’Donnell and his wife, Elizabeth, of Lexington, KY; her daughter, Cathy Seeley and her husband, David, of Derry; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Dorval of Houston, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Beverly was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Gerald T. O’Donnell, in 2022; her daughter, Susan Falls, in 2020; and her sister, Janice Boyle, in 2023.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Rd., E. Derry, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
