Christopher Nixon, 64, of Fall River, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026 at home. He was the son of Donna L. (Dextraze) Nixon of Westport and the late John Nixon.
Chris was born in Taunton and had been a longtime resident of Fall River. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Chris worked for Reebok in Mattapoisett until they closed in 2009. He then went on to work at Teufelberger Fiber Rope Corp. until his retirement. He was a NASCAR enthusiast and an avid Bruins fan. He loved his cats.
Survivors along with his mother include his brother: Michael J. Nixon and his wife Annette of Swansea; his sister: Michelle Adesso and her husband Jeffrey of Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews; and 2 great nephews.
He was the longtime companion of the late Eleanor M. Vieira.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Potter Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M.
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 P.M., prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
