Emma Meriseme, 29, of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, passed away on August 27, 2026. She was born on January 2, 1997, in Léogâne, Haiti, to the late Jean Davilus Meriseme and Anne Fleurimise Blanchard. Emma was the youngest of their nine children.
In May 2012, Emma moved to Massachusetts, where she continued to build her life and made her home. She earned a bachelor’s degree and worked as a school bus driver.
Emma was a devoted Roman Catholic who deeply cherished her faith, family, and Haitian heritage. She was a member of the Mouvement Eucharistique des Jeunes (MEJ), and her involvement with the group was an important part of her faith and church community.
Above all, Emma loved her family deeply. Her son, Spencer, was her pride and joy. She looked forward with great excitement to the day he would be old enough to begin daycare and reach that special milestone. Emma also had tremendous love for her nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she treasured every moment they shared.
Emma loved traveling, cooking, going out, attending Carnival, and enjoying Haitian cultural celebrations and dances. She especially enjoyed traveling and creating beautiful memories with her best friend and longtime travel companion, Elizabeth Germain.
Emma was known for her honesty, confidence, joyful spirit, and vibrant personality. She was never afraid to speak her mind. As the youngest child in her family, she held a very special place in the hearts of her siblings. Her beautiful presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Emma leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Fabrice Cesar; her cherished son, Spencer Prince Cesar; her siblings, Elda Meriseme, Levy Merisme, Mirlande Meriseme, Micheline Clermont, Holkine Meriseme, Dady Meriseme, Myrlene Meriseme-Altona, and Michema Meriseme; and her devoted best friend, Elizabeth Germain.
She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews: Akim Eli Teramene, Rhodelyne Coulange, David Teramene, Jason Erlens Louis, Janiyah Ziva Clermont, Roldina Meriseme, Adenia Teramene, Adena Teramene, Ann Chloe Merisme, Kayla Grace Clermont, Nayeli Sofia Clermont, Gracie Emmanuella Merisme, Zachary Merisme, Emily Scarlett Louis, Kaleb Oliver Louis, Christelle Ayana Altona, and Anaika Ruth Altona.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing hour on Saturday September 12, 2026 from 8-9 AM followede by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in Most Precious Blood Church, 25 Maple Street, Hyde Park, MA. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA.
