Obituary

Khamsing Saphirak, 80, of Worcester died Monday, August 31st in St. Francis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. His wife of 50 years, Chay (Louprasong) Saphirak died in 2020. He leaves two sons, Jon Saphirak and his wife, Cassie and Phisath Saphirak and Alyson both of Worcester; three daughters, Van Hebert, Boon Brennan and Nick Brennan and Salat Miranda and her husband, Danny all of Worcester; eight grandchildren, Jacob Hebert, Kayla Miranda, Kyle Miranda, Mya Saphirak, Tyler Saphirak, Cory Murray, Dallas Saphirak and Madi Saphirak; and three great grandchildren, Weston, Lillianne, and Noah.
He was born in Champasak, Laos and immigrated to the United States in 1980, where he built a life through hard work, perseverance, and devotion to his family.
For more than 30 years, Khamsing worked on the assembly line at Ken’s Foods. He was a dedicated and dependable employee who took pride in his work and the life he was able to provide for those he loved.
Khamsing was a simple man who found happiness in the things that mattered most. He did not need much to be content and especially treasured time spent surrounded by his family. Whether sharing a meal, enjoying a quiet day at home, or simply being together, those moments meant the most to him.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his quiet and humble nature, and above all, his love and dedication to his family.
Calling hours are Friday, September 4th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private.
