Lola Marie (Burk) Wooten, 91, of Ventura, California, passed away peacefully at Community Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on August 28, 2026. Lola was born in Hamilton Ohio to Ardie Loan Burk and Middie (Green Dermon) Burk on January 11, 1935. Lola is survived by her two daughters Belinda Kay Rodarte and Cathy Jo Affedt (spouse, Scott), two grandchildren, Bruce Douglas Affeldt (spouse, Lesley), Jennifer Lynn Rodarte, and one great grandchild, Grace Amelia Affeldt, and several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She is preceded by her cherished husband Walter Wooten, her mother Middie (Green Dermnon) Burk and father Ardie Loan Burk and (4) brothers and (9) sisters.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Community Memorial Hospital for their efforts to keep her comfortable in her final day. But also, for assisting all of us in making her journey a peaceful and loving passing for her and for all of us who were by her side.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours / viewing to be held on Thursday evening September 3, 2026 from 5 to 7pm in the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning September 4, 2026 at 10am in the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura, with Pastor Doug Colby of Ventura Missionary Church Officiating.
Directly after the service there will be a brief reception with refreshments, before a private burial at Ivy Lawn Cemetery.
