Flora R. "Flo" (DiSano) Fusaro Raposa, 85, of Fall River, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Catholic Memorial Home following a long illness. Flo was born in Providence, daughter of the late Emilio and Loretta (DelPoso) DiSano and had resided in Westport for over 40 years prior to her illness.
She worked as a self-employed artist, a career in which she possessed immense talent and was held in high esteem. She was a very gifted portrait artist counting many notable dignitaries and celebrities as her focus. She shared her work both locally and nationally and was a lifelong member of the Westport Art Group. She also created the 417 Club in Providence, an elegant gallery and piano lounge where she enjoyed her role as hostess and artist in residence.
Survivors include her 2 sons: Nicholas Fusaro and his wife Nancy of Boston and Steven Fusaro and his wife Kim of Campobello, SC; her daughter: Kelly Fusaro of Providence; 3 grandchildren: Steven Fusaro, Nicholas Fusaro and Amanda Morgan; 5 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
She was the mother of the late Jody Beth Fusaro and grandmother of the late Meghan Fusaro and Nicole Fusaro.
Services are private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720 and should be designated for the Arts and Activities Program.
